The Ghosts of the Ettington Park Hotel, Warwickshire

Is this Britain’s most haunted hotel? Neo-Gothic mansion boasts floating candles, an ethereal dog walker and the eerie sound of mysterious footsteps. It is said that there are 21 ghosts that haunt this wonderful building.

Ettington Park Hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, is reportedly haunted by ghosts of aristocratic family. The Shirleys lived on the land from time of William the Conqueror until the 1960s when they sold the stately pile Guests and staff at the Neo-Gothic mansion, constructed in the 1850s, have reported ghastly goings-on.

The Ettington Park Hotel‘s most-seen ghost is a woman in a white dress who roams the halls and disappears through walls and doors. How Spooky!!

This apparition is known as the ghost of “Lady Emma”, a former governess.

Another ghost known as the grey lady is also seen regularly floating to the bottom of the stairs where she is said to have fallen to her death in years gone by.
